util-linux/hal prevents pacman from updating.

Since some weeks ago I am unable to update my system.
Anyone know a solution? Manually updating or removing util-linux does not work.

(The warning only shows up, when I switch the output form german to english)

Re: util-linux/hal prevents pacman from updating.

It seems you have a really old deprecated hal package.
https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/pack … 6c282ec59e
https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/pack … f781518a21

util-linux recently removed the "provides" entry for util-linux-ng
https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/pack … de22e85491

You should remove hal if at all possible. Most likely the only application that should still need it is the flashplugin for DRM, if you need that install hal or hal-flash from the AUR.

Not a pacman problem, moving to AUR Issues...
