wxpython in Community-Testing

The wxpython in Community-Testing depends on wxgtk3.

wxgtk3 breaks the kicad package (the pcbnew interface becomes corrupted when wxgtk3 is installed).

The wxpython in Community depends on wxgtk2 and so there is no problem there.

Hi. Please consider posting this information in the Arch Linux bug tracker, so the developers will see it. smile

Re: wxpython in Community-Testing

HEY!!! I specifically searched for "wypython" before making my post, to make sure I was doing things "right"! sad

...ohhhh, I see, I only searched for "open" bug reports, whereas this one is already set to "assigned". tongue

But seriously, thank you for the information! smile

Re: wxpython in Community-Testing

Odd, since the search page has an "all open tasks" status that finds assigned bugs too... did you search for unconfirmed bugs? Or did you check for packages in category Packages: Testing whereas this is marked as Upstream Bugs?

(The search link generated on the package details page is kind of annoying about this, and really should be fixed.)

Re: wxpython in Community-Testing

Let me see...

Yep, when I first go to http://bugs.archlinux.org (even after opening a new "private" window) the default "Search" settings will only show "All Open Tasks", which will not show tasks that are "Assigned". Instead, I need to select "All Statuses" for the task to appear in the search results.

...It's not that big of a deal. It just behaves differently from how I expected. smile

EDIT: Corrected below!

Re: wxpython in Community-Testing

"All Open Tasks" will show tasks that are assigned, there's something else screwing up your search. Category, maybe?

Re: wxpython in Community-Testing

Ok, I think I've got it figured out. Holy cow, that was confusing!

Yes, searching "All Open Tasks" for the phrase "wypython" will find the bug report... but only after I change the project from "Arch Linux" to "All Projects"... because apparently this bug report is filed under "Community Packages", which is fine, but I have NO IDEA why I was seeing different behavior an hour ago! tongue

Whatever. Bug closed. User error. wink

Re: wxpython in Community-Testing

You're not the first person to run afoul of that. I'm pretty sure the initially selected category is decided by RNG. wink

I've make a habit of making sure I've got All Projects selected before searching.
