IEEE1394 device ID kernel2.6.3

   

   Is IEEE1394 device identified as scsi?  Is it addressed in fstab as /dev/sda1?  Does it require a separate entry in fstab?

    Kde info center rreports IEEE1394 device has problem:

       libkcm_view11394.la    .....missing in path since last upgrade.

    What next??

   Further info on the problem:

    In..... /proc/scsi.....sub....device info.....

    Listing of devices, manufacturers, partnos.....

     Question:  If the device in my system is not listed, does that mean I cannot connect to it?
