I cannot find json_tricks for python in the official repos or in the AUR. I need to package it for my PsychoPy (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/psychopy/) package. I have a couple of questions.
What do I call this package. It has an underscore in its name. It seems the author suggests pyjson-tricks, but maybe python2-json-tricks would be more consistent.
I only need the package to work with Python 2 and not Python 3. Do I need to create a split package to produce both versions or can I be lazy and make only the one I need?

There doesn't seem to be anything official there about requiring split packages for 2/3. However, the de facto standard currently is to use a split package.
But making a split package PKGBUILD is trivial.
