Issues with Benq 144Hz Monitor on Displayport

Hi everyone,

i got a new Benq Zowie XL2430 which i connected via Displayport to my Asus Geforce GTX 1050 Ti card.
The video card has 3 connections 1 DP, 1 HDMI, 1 DVI. On the DVI port i have a secondary 60Hz monitor.

I have two small issues that i noticed:

1. When the monitor is in 144Hz mode it sometimes shows an error "Out of Sync"

There is 1/10 chance the monitor displays the error message when a new screen should show up.
This can happen on boot or on switching virtual terminals. It can be reseted by switching virtual terminal again.
This does not happen on 60Hz.

This problem seems to be not uncommon even with Windows like here:

2. The monitor does not go into Standby mode

When activating the Gnome Screenlock the other monitor on DVI goes directly into standby mode. The Benq monitor on Displayport just shows a black screen with a mouse cursor.

This also seems to affect many people on windows:

Today i switched the Benq monitor to Dual-Link DVI which solves both problems.
I never read about problems with 144Hz on Displayport before. Does somebody else has this problems on Linux?

System Info:
Arch Linux
Gnome 3.24.2
Intel i7-2600k
8GB RAM
Asus Geforce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB with nvidia driver 384.59
Benq XL 2430
Samsung 226cw
