[SOLVED] Unable to change bucket colour in GIMP

I want to create an icon to use in my Xfce panel for JDownloader2 so that it looks consistent with the others (I am currently using the Archdroid-Lightblue icon theme).

I found the following interesting icon.
I would like to convert it from black into the colour with code #03A9F4. So, I open the image in GIMP and set the foreground colour to 03a9f4, as you can see in the following image.

However, as soon as I start clicking on the image to fill the black with that light blue colour, it still is black, as you can see in the following image.
How do I fix this problem? Am I doing something wrong?

That image uses indexed colors.  You either need to edit the color profile, or just change the color mode.  For the latter Image -> Mode -> RGB.
