[Solved]gnupg ECC keys

In gnupg 2.1.23 I was able to generate keys with ECC, although I cannot say for sure how I did it. I am confident that I used

gpg --gen-key

because thats the command I always use.
Today (after the 2.2.0 update) I wanted to generate another key this way but I couldn't find the option. I also tried

gpg --full-gen-key

but without success. So I imagined that it had something to do with the gnupg update, but downgrading to 2.1.23 didn't change anything (I only downgraded gnupg, nothing else).
So any idea where I can find this option again?

Edit: Next time I read the wiki. Use the --expert option.

Re: [Solved]gnupg ECC keys

I would guess the man page or the wiki page would be places to start.

Edit: and if it doesn't work, tell us exactly what's not working and why.
