[Solved] Set framebuffer resolution with systemd-boot

I have an NVIDIA graphics card and a 1440p monitor, with GRUB you can set the framebuffer to high resolutions as per here. However, I'd rather use systemd-boot for it's near instantaneous runtime, but I can't seem to figure out if I can set the proper resolution with it.

Is there a way to do this, or do I just need to switch to GRUB?

If you are using efifb with systemd-boot then there is really no way to do it.  The only way to accomplish this is for your UEFI implementation to support it.  If you really want the higher resolution, I'd suggest grub like you linked to.

That's what I was afraid of, but thanks!
