Xbox 360 Controllers not Functional

I have 2 xbox 360 controllers that I am not able to get working in Arch.
I have tried several configurations yet nothing works.

These are wireless controllers that I have connected using the provided usb cable to my machine.
I tried using the xpad module and didn't get anything.
I am currently using xboxdrv module and have tried with both single a 2 controller setups per the instructions here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Gamepad

My intent is to use these with a Nintendo emulator, but getting them to work in anything would be a step forward.
Steam seems to recognize that I have them installed, but I have no games that use a controller to test them in.

These are currently paired with an xbox that I have in the room.
But have not been able to get them to work even with the xbox unplugged and the controllers restarted.

I am using evtest to confirm that I am getting no inputs from the controllers.

Hopefully someone can share some ideas to try to get these working.

Thanks!

Note that I am not showing a device in /dev/input/by-id that ends with -event-joystick.
I'm sure it's related.

So nobody has any suggestions?
I've tried many paths but nothing seems to provide any sort of input. (using jstest at the moment)

Re: Xbox 360 Controllers not Functional

Honestly I'd find a free game on Steam that has controller support and try in a game. If steam recognize the controller then they should work.
