In a clean installation of Archlinux, once the plasma desktop is started, Nvidia's hdmi sound works fine playing music or movies with any program like kaffeine, amarok vlc, etc. But if the desktop issues some notification with sound, hdmi starts making noises and interferences, and it is necessary to restart. It seems to be a problem between the hdmi output (phonon or pulseaudio) and the sounds of kde notifications.
This has happened to me with some versions of plasma and with others not.
Any suggestion?
