Hi guys,
This is an issue that's been bothering me for a little while. The latest kernel versions cause my monitor to flash, its hard to explain so I just took a video of it. This happens on version 4.12.10 and above, on 4.12.8 it doesn't happen. I noticed this while ago while playing around with amd-staging and drmnext kernels, but chocked it up to running early code. But now that its hit a stable kernel its becoming a problem.
I'm not finding anyone else who seems to have this issue, so its bumming me out a bit. This doesn't happen in windows (bleh..) either, so its specific to certain kernel versions.

Are you using Displayport or HDMI? Maybe try the other ports.
I have a RX480 too connected via HDMI to my Monitor and no problems at all with Kernel 4.12.10

Hmm, I'm connecting by HDMI. That's very strange, I wonder whats different about my hardware thats causing this issue?

Whatever was causing this issue seems to be fixed in 4.13. Just upgraded to that a bit early and everything seems fine, I'll mark this was solved. ![]()
