related to a thread I found on the ubuntu forums, https://askubuntu.com/questions/912652/ … nd-re-open
also related to my old post, but decided to just make a new thread about this with a better explanation of the situation.
related thread pretty much sums up, the problem, and setting HandleLidSwitch=ignore shouldn't be a solution as the system doesn't suspend and battery usage is still close to normal.
close lid, system suspends. I'm using a razer blade stealth, so i can tell when it suspends when the backlit logo on the back of the screen turns off.
open lid, system resumes,
but after every 30s interval, system suspends again. I'm assuming this is systemd having HoldoffTimeoutSec defaulted to 30s.
latest kernel, latest intel drivers.

What desktop environment are you using?
I use gnome on my Alienware, and to gnome there is a program called
gnome-tweak-tool
where you can tell it to not suspend when the lid is closed. And it works like a charm for me.

Same here.
Razer blade stealth + xfce4 + lightdm + light-locker. Brand new laptop and fresh archlinux install.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,
I had this issue on my Razer Blade Stealth. I solved it by appending the button.lid_state option to the bootloader configuration file (currently using systemd-boot) /boot/loader/entries/arch.conf
options root=PARTUUID=$my_PARTUUID i915.i915_enable_rc6=0 button.lid_init_state=open
The i915 option was put beacause I had screen flickering

I'm using Razer Blade and fix the problem by following @kalimeroo 's suggestion and adding "button.lid_init_state=open" to grub, Thanks!
