[SOLVED] Repair or reinstall Arch Linux on dual boot

Hi, today while booting I got a serious problem on my file system (EXT4 - inodes errors) and had to run fsck manually to be able to at least boot and save some data.
Now the system is working only partially but is corrupted (for example mySQL does not work anymore, querying installed packages fails due to corrupted files etc).
I want to recover or even better reinstall Arch Linux on this laprtop where I have dual boot with Windows 10 and GRUB as boot loader already in place.

My partitions looks like this:

NAME        MAJ:MIN RM   SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT
nvme0n1     259:0    0   477G  0 disk
├─nvme0n1p1 259:1    0   500M  0 part /boot
├─nvme0n1p2 259:2    0   128M  0 part
├─nvme0n1p3 259:3    0  78,1G  0 part
├─nvme0n1p4 259:4    0    16G  0 part [SWAP]
└─nvme0n1p5 259:5    0 382,2G  0 part /

Arch is on nvme0n1p5 (last one).

I think the best solution is to reinstall Arch from scratch.

I would proceed as follow:

1) Boot with live USB
2) Delete partition nvme0n1p5 and recreate it (is it advisable to also recreate swap partition?)
3) Proceed with Arch Linux installation on that partititon as per Arch wiki

Will this work? Or is there anything else to do?

About bootloader (which is aready in boot partition): do I need to reinstall it?

Any other suggestion?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You don't need to delete the partition. You need to just wipe the filesystem and recreate it.

Do you know why there is corruption? If the cause for corruption persists, reinstalling won't solve anything. (I have zero experience with NVMe other than jealousy, so haven't a clue myself how to troubleshoot them, sorry.)

A from scratch reinstall is an option but if you have a tarball backup that is too.  Since the boot loader is in place, so long as you do not change the partition UUiS, I think you're fine to just untar and go.  The reinstall just gives you a more minimal set of packages and stock configurations if you want.

It's right above that just re-formatting your root partition is enough to start over on it. You'd leave the existing ESP, EFI System Partition in place. You need to re-install your boot loader of choice if you desire to use one. You have a boot entry in UEFI and the boot loader files on the ESP but the boot loader package wouldn't be installed unless you do that for your new installation. Configuration of the boot loader should be checked at least but may not need redone.

Re-installation may not be needed though. Too often we fall into re-installing instead of repairing. If you don't have anything to loose, fine, but be sure it's really the best option.
