Using mpv (or mplayer) with vo=vdpau video output is blank.
vo=opengl plays normally.
Neither show any errors related to the video stream.

I have same issue. Also NVIDIA drivers with KDE Plasma 5 seems to be unstable in general. I get often "Graphics reset"
