I am not asking for attentiin I'm asking for advice. I'm ready to spend $1,000 and I'm gonna try to make it be teh best $1,000 for my wants/needs! If you look at the two list the only thing that is the same is the CPU.

How much should I be spending? I want searching on newegg mainly by reviews and the top 4-5 were around that price or higher.

PS: What advice? All the advice you need is on google and newegg's comments!

Re: My new system (soon to be)... Comment Please.

Nothing wrong with spending money on a decent PSU. I spent much more than that on my Seasonic S12 430W PSU.

I dont regret a single dollar. The thing is silent, it's reliable, tidy, efficient, high quality, and has an awesome reputation. I dont want something cheap and nasty without any reputation powering my system, I prefer my components when they arent toasted. Nor does it sound like a banshee like others, when it does get warm, it's still whisper quiet, and alway inaudible at >=1m

For the fans, I'd reccomend Nexus, as their fans are excellent, and very quiet, and last time I looked, the fan of choice on silentpcreview.com. You've picked a ball bearing fan, so it's goin to make a bit more noise than a sleeve fan like the nexus.

I'd go for a Pioneer DVD burner, but only because i've had no problems with them, nor have any of my friends, 4 of which have Pioneer burners because they've worked so well. I've got a DVR-111D.

the case looks a bit suss, dont know how you'd go for airflow on a quiet system there, but that hasnt really been one of your goals.

I'll repeat what others have said, I'd wait for intel's conroe systems to come out before buying into anything.

That's wrong, I think that's too little on a PSU.  Not only is a PSU the most important and most reusable component you buy, it's also the noisiest.  I would recommend dropping aroung $120 on a real good PSU.

IIRC that 400GB wasn't SATA which is a major down side as my mobo only has one ide cable port thingy. As the PSU I might end up buying a thermaltake as I've also had good luck with those.

That's funny, because we have had a DVD burner for quite some time that burns at 16X.
