Installing RX550 driver on fresh system.

Hi everyone, I just installed archlinux (4.12.13-1-ARCH) and came to the point of choosing the graphics card drivers. I have a rx550, what do you recommend installing? open or proprietary drivers?
Can you explain me how to do it?

I'd go for the open drivers, installing the closed drivers involves downgrading X which will leave you with an unsupported system.

As usual the wiki contains everything you need to know.

Check https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xorg#AMD to determine which drivers are available for your card.  I would suggest starting with open source first, and if that doesn't work then consider the proprietary ones.

If you want good opengl drv you have to choose mesa drv. Driver from official repos will be good for you.
If you need opencl, you have to install amdgpu-pro from aur.
Vulkan apps should works on both drivers, on pro drivers a little bit better than on mesa.
