Hi, dear users.
I'm using arch on the cinnamon desktop manager. My question is that is there any way to prevent the system from getting suspended when the terminal is downloading packages? I use terminator emulator.

What is suspending the machine?
Not a GNU/Linux discussion, moving to NC...

Thank you so much. I've set the suspend time of my machine on 5 minutes. During terminal is downloading packages, the machine goes to sleep after 5 minutes and downloading is interrupted. I wonder if there is a way to prevent the system to go to sleep during terminal is working whiteout changing the power management settings?

I believe systemd-inhibit is exactly what you're looking for.
