Asus xonar dx problem

Sometimes when i boot i have sound and sometimes i dont have sound from my sound card, sometimes alsa select the asus xonar and sometimes nvidia
if i type alsamixer in the terminal and select F6
i get this
-(default)
0  HDA NVidia                                                                                         
1  Xonar DX

how do i set Xonar DX as my only card?
