Possibly simplest would be use either of the drm trees as a base apply https://github.com/graysky2/kernel_gcc_patch and http://ck.kolivas.org/patches/muqss/4.0 … _160.patch
set CONFIG_SCSI_MQ_DEFAULT=y in the .config and enable bfq using a udev rule. This does not cover adding the patches from linux-stable.

I'm having problems with the integrated SD card reader on my laptop (ThinkPad X230) when running linux-ck-ivybridge, though it works fine under plain linux (-ARCH). The module appears to crash, and pcmanfm seems unable to automount any of the SD card partitions.
linux 4.12.10-1 linux-ck-ivybridge 4.12.10-1
dmesg log at moment of insertion of SD card https://bpaste.net/show/e09a7590f931
result of lsusb and lspci https://bpaste.net/show/d174f7f5e60eIf you'd like me to clarify anything else, just ask.
I have the same error with SD card. Although I use linux-ck-core2, when starting the same with sd in, it hangs, while putting when loading KDE it neither recognizes.

@willianholtz have you worked through the suggestions in posts #3069-#3072 of this thread?

@loqs
Ohh, sorry, actually worked, had not realized above the resolution of the problem.

I am experiencing the same broken suspend problem as mentioned earlier. The system wakes up and instantly freezes on the login screen. Keyboard, mouse etc unresponsive. Can't switch into tty either. Also nothing interesting shows up in journalctl. Only solution is hard reset.

@andreasjacob you could report the issue to CK and see if you get a response.
Edit:
Does the same issue occur with linux-zen 4.13.3-1?

Is there any Arch repo I can add to pacman that has older linux-ck packages? Preferably Cpu optimized?
Offline
As of yesterday the repo-ck mirror can't be synced due to an expired SSL certificate:
$ sudo pacman -Syu
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
error: failed retrieving file 'repo-ck.db' from mirror.archlinux.no : SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired
No biggie, just wanted to report it here.

@glitsj16 - Can't help you with the problems on a mirror since that's out of my control. As to the out-of-date status of nvidia-304xx and nvidia340xx: you guys need to flag them as such on the AUR or else I am unaware. Looking into them now.

@graysky - Problems fixed on mirror https://mirror.archlinux.no/repo-ck. I'll keep in mind that flagging is a better way to inform you on needed updates. Thanks for looking into that. I've tested the 340xx-ck and it needs only one patch now (for kernel 4.11), cfr. nvidia-340xx. Don't have hardware to test 304xx, but I assume there's a similar diff for that in official repos. Much appreciated.

Yes, I included it with the 340.104-1 push... are you saying the package is not working or just giving me info? https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … 5df01da14f

@graysky: Oh it was informative, the driver installs and runs just fine. I needed to install something else asap and that was being sidetracked due to the abovementioned conflict, and I took to adapting your PKGBUILD to get things moving. Probably sounded silly to suggest those diffs you as maintainer being perfectly capable to do the job
Hope this clears things up, and thanks again for the speedy response!

Are there any plans to build optimized ck kernels for ryzen in the future?
And with ryzen not available at the moment, what would be the second best to use? To my surprise my system booted fine with the k10 optimized kernel; so maybe I should go with the piledriver kernel (assuming it boots)? Or would that actually be detrimental to performance and I should just use the general one for now?

Unknown how they might work on your hardware. I need to update my build script to provide -march=znver1 builds. For now you can build your own from the AUR enabling the nconfig option.

Would be interesting to see if march=znver1 is slower or faster https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=80313#c3

strange thing: i'm unable to connect to https sites using proxy (privoxy) for few days.
curl (and lib32-curl, libcurl-compat, lib32-libcurl-compat) were updated few days ago (i remeber i had similiar problems before and they were curl and/or openssl related)
i didn't have time to look at all this before
i'm writing this here, bacause on stock kernel everything is fine...

4.13-ck1 has been released: https://ck-hack.blogspot.com/2017/10/li … r.html?m=1
I'll wait for my CPU optimized package to arrive on repo-ck before trying it. It would be interesting to see if the broken suspend problem exists with this release. Personally, I love to use this kernel but the hangup after wakeup is too much to live with unfortunately.

I built the packages but have not indexed the repo. You can grab them by visiting the website but be warned that I get a panic on boot. CK has been contacted.

@graysky you have gone back to using CONFIG_DEFAULT_IOSCHED="bfq" with # CONFIG_SCSI_MQ_DEFAULT is not set
If you boot with scsi_mod.use_blk_mq=1 or elevator=cfq does that prevent the panic?
Offline
linux-ck-ivybridge 4.13.7-1 boots fine with 'scsi_mod.use_blk_mq=0 elevator=cfq'.

linux-ck-ivybridge 4.13.7-1 boots fine with 'scsi_mod.use_blk_mq=0 elevator=cfq'.
OK... after a little troubleshooting, it seems as though bfq is to blame. For me, booting with just elevator=cfq is fine. You too?

@graysky you still get he panic if you use scsi_mod.use_blk_mq=1? you could check it is limited to bfq by adding elevator=kyber or elevator=mq-deadline
edit:
to be clear adding the elevator parameter as well as scsi_mod.use_blk_mq=1 to test if it it is limited to bfq

@loqs - My test hardware is ancient by today's standards and using a 3rd party SSD controller board. Probably better of someone with more contemporary hardware tries that experiment.

@graysky well if you only had nvme devices you would not be using scsi_mod anyway so would be only to do the test I proposed.
Will test after I have built linux-ck 4.13.7-1. So far I am guessing the cause is the CK dropping http://ck.kolivas.org/patches/4.0/4.12/ … ed-b.patch which is a work around in itself
for http://ck.kolivas.org/patches/4.0/4.12/ … ing-.patch setting DEFAULT_IOSCHED to values the mainline kernel does not support and does not have checks against unsupported values.
