After recent update, My keyboard cannot repeat when pressing down a key. For example, when I pressed down the backspace button, it only deleted one character before the cursor. I removed the xf86-input-evdev package and the problem still exists.

Sorry, I finally figured out that it was not the problem of X after I reinstalled the whole archlinux system with 20170901 iso.

So is this still a problem and if not do you know what the problem actually was resp. how you resolved it?

Thanks for your replay. I still have no idea how to solve it. I formatted all the partitions and reinstalled the archlinux system with the latest image of 20171001. After installing the basic system without any X, when the login displays, it constantly displays ^@ .
like this:
login: ^@ ^@ ^@
It displays one ^@ in about in second when nothing is inputted. Hence, I cannot login. I don't know what the problem is.
I am now writting this post in my MS Windows system because I cannot log into archlinux.
So what do you think the problem is and where should I put this post?
Below is the hardware for my laptop:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz
Video Card: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 520 && NVIDIA GeForce 940MX
Hard Drive: HGST HTS721010A9E630 && Phison SM280064GPMC15B

Thanks a lot, seth! I will try the tricks later to see if it works or not. But I still wonder if this bug will be handled gracefully in the next version than just blacklisting the input_polldev.
