Gnomesu broke after update.

I've used gnome to promt me for when I need root priveleges for editing many configuration files that I have in my fbpanel. Problem is after update the binary doesn't work anymore. I suppose it's because libssl was updated, which gnomesu depended on 0.9.7. So, I take it one of the maintainers needs to recompile tha pacakge for it.

I'll file it then... You probably got your email wrong though, you ought to try again.

Edit: wait a minute, is this gnomesu or libgnomesu? If it's gnomesu, that's in Community, you should add a comment there that the package needs to be recompiled.

gnomesu is orphaned. Tomorrow, I'll check it and fix/rebuild it.

EDIT:I rebuild it but it doesn't work with the current glade. I get the following errors:

(gnomesu:17246): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'on_gtk_command_textbox_activate'.

(gnomesu:17246): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'on_gtk_password_textbox_activate'.

(gnomesu:17246): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'on_gtk_ok_button_clicked'.

(gnomesu:17246): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'on_gtk_cancel_button_clicked'.

(gnomesu:17246): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'quit_program'.

The GUI appears but clicking on the buttons/pressing Enter doesn't do anything. And the project seems dead (no new versions since 2003). I suggest installing and using gksu instead. I'm not sure what to do with gnomesu, perhaps removing it from community. :?

I'll take your suggestion and try gksu, but I love gnomesu so I'll try to compile and patch it myself. If I get any progress I'll be sure to post . Thanks

I've uploaded it several hours ago. The AUR interface hasn't been updated yet. Perhaps there's a problem with the community db... :?

If you can't wait , grab the PKGBUILD from abs.
