libinput gestures stop working after suspend

Hi,

I recently moved to libinput and since then the two finger scroll gesture stops working after suspend. Sometimes I can use it with three fingers and sometimes it doesn't work at all. After rebooting it works again.

Does anyone suffers from the same issue? I have a ThinkPad T440p.

Yes, the same happens here on a Lenovo Yoga Pro 2, Gnome 3.26.1.

Oh, and after reading your post I've just noticed that scrolling is indeed working with three fingers but not with two... And playing with settings doesn't help either.

Re: libinput gestures stop working after suspend

Same for me, I have a workaround:

sudo modprobe -r psmouse && sudo modprobe psmouse

I'm not sure this is the same issue, but nevertheless, thanks for sharing. I'm going to close this old topic now. As you noted, this is a workaround, rather than a solution. If you have an interest in finding a real solution, please create a new thread with details about your hardware, the symptoms of the problem, and the journal from an affected session.

Closing.
