Hi,
I am suffering from a bug described here https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1364850. It is not clear if it was fixed in Fedora and I haven't found any references for Arch Linux. But I have exactly the same behavior on Fedore live 26, so it's probably somewhere in libinput, even though on the page above is a claim that it had been already fixed (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1364850#c31).
The issue is that that while Trackpoint is enabled in BIOS, it is somehow emitting events which interrupts touchpad events (referred as "stalling" e.g. in this comment https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1364850#c19). In reality it means that e.g. every 5 seconds, my touchpad movement is interrupted - the mouse doesn't move even though I am moving my finger over the touchpad area.
When I disable the Trackpoint in BIOS, touchpad works (even though it is behaving terribly - like weird acceleration and stuff, but that could be probably tweaked a bit).
Any ideas how to solve this? I would love to use the Trackpoint as well as touchpad.
