[Solved] no keyboard in X

Hi,

I had arch up and running for about a year now on my notebook, without any major problems. For the last week I used it without any external hardware and probably updated a few times and installed the synaptics (touchpad) drivers.

In the console everything works as it should. But when I start X and the notebook is plugged into the docking station, keyboard input doesn't work (neither from the internal, nor the external keyboard)
If I unplug it from the dock, the internal keyboard works again.
Everything else works as it should, including the external mouse and internal touchpad.

I removed the synaptics driver, completely uninstalled and reinstalled all xorg packages and config files but nothing solved the problem.
I tried to solve this for 2 days, googling the hell out of the internet but nothing helped.

sudo startx does not help.
"cat /dev/input/event0" shows that the keyboard driver should receive raw data.
