I just ran into this kernel issue and forced a hard reboot. The trace from journalctl is:

Could somebody who understands these things possibly tell me if this is the bug covered by https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102221? If so, I believe the fix is on the way and there's no point in my reporting the problem again. The bug says that the fix is in firmware planned to be released the week following 26th October, so I figure if this is the right bug, I should get new firmware which fixes it in the not too distant future .... hopefully.

EDIT: Also, does anybody know of a workaround to avoid this in the meantime?
