Lenovo T430 kernel 4.13.11-1 - no keyboard

Hi

Have just pacman -Suy'ed the system and subsequently lost the keyboard.
It works fine in grub, however it doesn't work when I type user name and I neither can switch ttys  - the only button that works is the power button sad
The three finger salute doesn't work either.

Has anybody have any idea what the hell has happened?!

Cheers

Re: Lenovo T430 kernel 4.13.11-1 - no keyboard

This happened to my Thinkpad Yoga 11e after upgrading to 4.13. Since it's a secondary computer, I rolled it back to the LTS kernel and that allowed me to work around the issue for the time being.  Nevertheless, I'm sad to hear that 4.13.11 still has the issue.

My trackpad stopped working as well. Does yours still work?

Did you also update libinput?

Re: Lenovo T430 kernel 4.13.11-1 - no keyboard

Having the same issue on a HP ZBook G3 with the LTS kernel. On the default Kernel it works, with the LTS kernel the keyboard gets kicked out.
It works with GRUB and with the input of the lvm-password. Also on a virtual console the input is recognised.

So, by using the LTS-Kernel, X11 doesn't work with the build-in keyboard of my laptop. The keyboard works fine without X11. An external USB-Keyboard works with within X11.

The issue does only appear in the LTS kernel with all current updates installed.

Here is part of my Xorg.0.log

Re: Lenovo T430 kernel 4.13.11-1 - no keyboard

I was able to solve the issue by following the post https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=231455.

Solution: downgrade to libinput 1.8.3-1.
