Hi. I am trying to build in a clean chroot for the first time. I want to use "Convenience Way". I discovered that I need to execute "Classic Way/Setting Up A Chroot" before that, otherwise I get an error "no servers configured for repository". Is it an omission in the manual, or do I not understand something?

I think you're misunderstanding something, but it is difficult to tell what. Please post the exact commands you used, and the full output.

I delete "/var/lib/archbuild/multilib-x86_64" and execute
multilib-build -- -I /var/abs/local/lib32-libmng/lib32-libmng-2.0.3-1-x86_64.pkg.tar
in a directory with "PKGBUILD" and everything. I get an error

I suppose you are not using the default mirrorlist file. I got the same error since I normally define mine with /etc/pacman.d/rankedmirrors.
devtools requires you to configure at least one mirror in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist.

Exactly! Thank you for your help. I will mark this as solved.
