Upgrade of network-manager-applet and nm-connection-editor... [SOLVED]

Hey,

I've encountered problem with my Wifi following an upgrade of the system done yesterday (9 November 2017). The packages network-manager-applet and nm-connection-editor were updated from version 1.8.6-3 to 1.8.7dev+3+g3d7c0a89-1.
After rebooting the wifi didn't seem to work: a question mark appeared in the top right icon of the wifi on my gnome desktop and the following messages appeared on the journal when I tried to restart the Wifi from the applet (i.e. "Turn Off" then "Turn On" again from the Wifi menu):

Things went back to normal when I downgraded both packages:

# pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/network-manager-applet-1.8.6-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
# pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/nm-connection-editor-1.8.6-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

Did you have a similar issue? Do you think it is a problem with Archlinux or with NetworkManger itself? I was wondering where I should report this issue.

Also that's a bit intriguing that the version seems to be an unstable one because of the "dev" appearing before the version number. I didn't change my repository choices or any configuration concerning pacman.

I have upgraded again. Now it seems to work just fine. Might just have been a glitch.

Re: Upgrade of network-manager-applet and nm-connection-editor... [SOLVED]

Just as a note in case anyone faces the same issue:

I had the same issue and I am not  running  network manager , I am running only wpa_supplicant and I was having the same issue after updating roughly around the same date , I was able to connect to 2.4ghz hidden networks , the error only happens when trying to connect to 5ghz networks (which in my case was also hidden[as in not broadcasting any essid]). the error was happening both using linux-zen or linux.

I am also using the nl80211 and my error was also solved by updating.
