I've been having trouble with Haskell packages throwing error messages during every upgrade ever since GHC in Arch switched to statically linked packages by default. Most people noticed this when pandoc suddenly had 700MB of Haskell dependencies. Have yet to find a working solution.
Edit: according to this recent post on reddit, most people don't recommend using Haskell packages from the official repos right now, so the solution appears to be to install a static package from AUR, or use the installation script for Stack as detailed on the Haskell Stack website.
