No cashe mode page found

Hi,
I have just installed a fresh Arch installation on my laptop and want to use a WD Elements external hard drive for backups. This usb device isn't being seen by my system, which uses the plasma DE. I have the WD disk formatted to NTFS as I used it on a Windows 10 machine. I see it listed when running lsusb but when I run dmseg I get this:

I have installed ntfs-3G but still don't see the disk showing up. Any ideas please?

What happens when you mount it manually?
