Hi! I'm trying to work with the module command to load different environment modules (e.g. module load gcc/5.2.0), the way it can be done in other distros. The goal is to be able to keep different versions of a software package and load them whenever necessary.
However, I don't find anything in the Arch Wiki about environment modules, nor the module command. How is this done in Arch?

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/env-modules/ ? What makes you think that this is some specific core functionality that might be distro specific?

I come to think that this tool could not be in Arch because I didn't find anything about in the Wiki. I was surprised I must say, as enviroment modules are a really useful tool.
Thanks for the reply!
However, a new problem arises. When I install env-modules (or env-modules-tcl) form the AUR, I can see a man page of the module command, but when I write this command name in the terminal it says that it does not exist. How can it be?

So you saw the man page, but clearly you didn't even start to read it or you'd have your answer.

The man page clearly states how to initialize the module command, have you done this?

What a shame, I found a little bump in the road and I gave up. You are right, it is full explained how to setup this tool in the man page. Thank you all for your feedback!
