Switch headphone and microphone jack for audio output

Hi,

my headphone jack broke. Is there a way to switch the audio output to the microphone jack?

Have you tried a google search for your problem? I see several hits, among them trying "hdajackretask" from the alsa-tools package.

Great hint. I tried it. Under advanced settings i changed the microphone jack to headphones and pressed "Apply", but it did not work. I get the following console ouput.

$ hdajackretask
0x16 0x042140ff

Then I tried again and got the error msg:

Failed to create file "/foot/.config/pulse/client.conf.LT249Y": No such file or directory

I am using ALSA and not Pulse, so i am a bit confused.
