One of last updates - I assume in the libjpeg or qt5 area - broke the digikam preview of pictures in the folders / albums.
No preview of the pictures is shown any more. The original (jpg) pictures are still present.
Desktop is Plasma (KDE5), system is actual.

Same issue here. Digikam appimage is working normally though...

Yes, I could confirm this. Even on clear, new instalation of Digikam without any configuration files or bases. "Albums" are empty, without any previews.
If appimage works, then it's probably something with building this package (ver. 5.7.0-2).
PS: Maybe it's something wrong with Qt, because I'm Qt5.10beta4 user (kde-unstable).

The images can still be seen if you go to "Timeline" or "Dates" view.

Alright, an updated package (digikam-5.7.0.3) did resolve the issue. I did have to rebuild the database but all is back to normal now. Many thanks to the packaging team out there!
