multiple kernels and nvidia drivers

Hello all, hope everyone is doing well.

I am getting ready to install the realtime kernel from AUR. I ran a test on a spare laptop I have and was able to install and boot into the second kernel. (yay me). Question I have is, on my main system I have nvidia drivers installed. Will I need to install kernel specific nvidia drivers for the realtime kernel, or would installing nvidia-dkms take care of the multiple kernels? First time doing this, and not sure how this will play out.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

nvidia-dkms should be sufficient.

Thats what I was thinking, but then wouldn't I have to build the drivers ever time I log into kernel-xyz?

No only the first time a new kernel is installed / booted after that the generated module will be used on future boots of that kernel.
dkms generates modules for each dkms package for each kernel unless configured otherwise.

No, building is done with pacman hooks.
