[kde-unstable] KDE Applications 17.12 beta

KDE Applications 17.12 beta is now available for testing in the [kde-unstable] repo. This is the first release that doesn't ship any KDE4-based application (including kde-l10n).

As usual, you need to have [testing] enabled. Please test and report packaging issues to bugs.archlinux.org with the [kde-unstable] label, and upstream issues to bugs.kde.org. Beware that [kde-unstable] also contains Qt 5.10 beta, so be prepared for extra breakage.

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 17.12 beta

kmail 17.11.90 doen't work using Qt 5.10.
Here's the output:

kmail: relocation error: /usr/lib/libKF5PimCommonAkonadi.so.5: symbol _ZN21QSortFilterProxyModel21setRecursiveFilteringEb, version Qt_5 not defined in file libQt5Core.so.5 with link time reference

Oh great. Qt changed their API in an RC2. Sigh...

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 17.12 beta

kmail should be fixed with pimcommon 17.11.90-2. korganizer and knotes are still broken, will fix asap. Thanks for reporting.

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 17.12 beta

There is a strange issue with Qt5.10 rather, then with KDE Applications.
I have "Directory view" applet. When I right-click on "empty" space of this applet, everything is ok, but when I right-click on any directory or file, double popup menu window is shown (as on the scr]een). The first is the same as on empty space, the second is this as I expect when I right-click on file/directory. Press Esc (for example) close the "first" window, and I can do almost all operations except to delete a file. Unfortunetly there isn't any informations corresponding to this issue in journalctl.
Downgrade Qt5 to Qt5.9.3 helps on this issue.

And sceen: https://i.imgur.com/u8YfvX8.png. Maybe more useful then my words (BTW - sorry for my English).

I can confirm this - please report it to KDE.

THX - I'll report it. @arojas - have you any suggestion of how I can collect any useful information? I haven't any idea (journalctl, gdb - any of them).

For this bug simply describing your problem should be enough, since it's reproducible with Qt 5.10 and no crashes are involved.

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 17.12 beta

Thanks arojas!
But  (there's a but), it's seem impossible to add an email account using kmail.
I've created a new user and tried to add my gmail account (using IMAP) and after i've entered my gmail address and password, i'm stuck with a window saying: "Authorizing token.  This should take just a moment..."
Does anyone have this problem (tried also with my usual user account and having this problem).

Re: [kde-unstable] KDE Applications 17.12 beta

Yes, there appears to be a serious regression with qtwebengine, this breaks gmail authentication. See the following thread for more info https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=232823 and the associated qt bug towards the end of the thread. In addition to this, akonadi_control seems to crash frequently at login.
