strangest freezes i have ever seen
i run openbox with ck-bulldozer linux-lts and mainline
did my normal pacman -Syu updated then finished whatever i was doing, rebooted and log into openbox thru lightdm
can right click for menujustfine but if i click terminal under tint2, do shortcut keys for any terminal or go to nm-applet edit connection it freezes
ive started a brand new install on extra hard drive, getting the same issue amdgpu with correct kms flags, cant type behind screen
could this be mesa? console works fine just fine
also i have the infamous r8169 ethernet realtek module perhaps there was an overlooked regression
any ideas, how to even start would be great

Journal and Xorg log would be the minimum. Versions of relevant packages similarly.
Moving to NC.

sorry for not doing that basic stuff, my mobo is a gigabyte 970a-d3p that has to use amd_iommu=on for usb3 and terrible r8169 ethernet adapter
i got hit with a double whammy, some kind of revert to previous r8169 driver thru pacman, had to blacklist and find a similar one for time being, also lightdm was the freeze culprit for opening terminal
