Asus Vivobook E200HA Audio Driver Not Working

Hey, first time here at the forums,

having an issue with the hardware for the sound card on this netbook. The lspci readout does not contain any reference to the sound card's existance, but spec sheets for this model say it the sound card is somehow integrated into the processor? apparently it's a conexant chipset. But most of the documentation that i could find wasn't very clear. It doesn't detect the internal audio, although an external usb sound card does work (would prefer to get the internal one working instead). I have tried for several hours and searched the internet to find answers for several more, but to no avail :c

Let me know if any more information is necessary eg terminal outputs

Thanks,
Arakimo

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Re: Asus Vivobook E200HA Audio Driver Not Working

I dont think any of the results are indicative of a sound card, although i could be mistaken, lsusb output is below

Output of lsusb:

Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 13d3:3496 IMC Networks
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0bda:57ed Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

EDIT: Didn't see the entry by Realtek, that's probably a sound card big_smile
