This goes to show that even though I've worked with Linux for awhile, I'm still somewhat of a newbie... probably a stupid question, but there you go...
Anyways, my motherboard seems to be dieing a slow and painful death (taking out my Videocard on the way down... long story there) and so it's going to be replaced soon. My question is, if I'm only replacing the motherboard itself, would my Arch install still boot alright, or would I need to reinstall so that the drivers for the new motherboard are installed properly?
Thanks!

No you don't need to re-install, it should be transparent to Arch, If something went wrong, at boot time, you only need to re-generate the initcpio image, coz maybe the modules have changed, otherwize nithing should be wrong...
EDIT: Oh and if you plan to change the Graphic Card, you need, of course, to edit xorg.conf for the new video card ![]()

Nah, they are both NVidia based, so at least that's easy ^_^

If booting gives you problems, just use the fallback initcpio image and regenerate your normal boot image.
