it looks like a great piece of software

from what i can tell there are already a few people working on it for Arch.
It's just that its very early in the wired development life and therefore a bit tricky to get working....
fck art, lets dance.

Wired-2.2 is in AUR now. It installed fine but as usual, it freezes at launch. No matter what distro I've tried.
It's like building Ardour with VST support, it never works or the ones who have it working never tell you what they did so we wait for future development.

I am the one who made the AUR package of Wired, but also one of those who do not have it working fully. I put the pkgbuild in AUR in hope that other people would be inspired to find ways to make it work.
For me Wired appears to compile and start fine, no errors, but when I try to use the gui in any way nothing happens and if I try to load a sound sample there is no sound.
According to the developers there are some issues with alsa and portaudio right now which could be causing this.
As funkmuscle said, we'll have wait.

Wired installed no probs. Wulax's version was the only one I even got to install. I got Gentoo installed on another pc and the have an audio portage and an ebuild for Ardour using vst. It works amazingly but Arch is the best distro period. Very fast. I wish someone knows how to incorporate and fst build into Ardour's PKGBUILD the way that guy did for Gentoo's ebuild.
By the way, their version of Wired would not install. Gentoo by the way is a great dirsto too but Arch is so further ahead and faster. Perfect distro for proaudio. I wish I knew how to do the things that you guys can do so I could work on some prodauio PKGBUILD.

Interesting... I'll have to check that out.
Proaudio is this, right?

Hey Wulax,
I patched ardour's PKGBUILD with the Gentoo vst patch and and it install. I now get a
Gdk-ERROR **: RenderBadPicture (invalid Picture parameter)
serial 535 error_code 174 request_code 152 minor_code 7.
Below are some of the Gentoo and ebuild links.

THE ABOVE ISSUE HAS BEEN SOLVED.
It was a bad vst plugin. I now have Ardour running on Arch with vst support after patching the Scons files with the patch from the Gentoo ebuild.
This was not a PKGBUILD install. Ardour crashes sometimes but I do have the vst support.
A proper PKGBUILD may fix the crashing I guess but I don't know how to make one.
