So my microphone stopped working all of a sudden for some reason.
I thought it might be hardware, however I bought a new microphone and the problem still persists.
Using pavucontrol I noticed that when I play some music in the background the Input Devices slider starts moving following the rhythm of the audio, but it still doesn't receive any input from the microphone.
Anyone care to help me out?

Have you accidentally set a monitor source?
Try to record something then post, during the recording within [ code ] tags

Now, I really got no idea what all of this is, this my weak side. All I know for sure is that my microphone worked 2 weeks ago, and for some rason all of a sudden it stopped working.
