[Resolved][Laptop] Directional keys remapped after kernel update

Greetings,

After the last kernel update, some of my laptop's directional keys have been remapped to actions such as "Disable touchpad" or "Launch media"... many other keys (sadly, the useful ones for coding) have been remapped as well.

I grepped `input` on dmesg and haven't seen anything special:

Any clue what I should be looking for ?

The module you want to look at is acer_wmi however are you sure that you didn't simply accidentally hit fn lock?

Re: [Resolved][Laptop] Directional keys remapped after kernel update

The problem solved itself after a visit to the bios settings (although I only swapped from Legacy boot mode to UEFI, and back again). That's enigmatic.

I did spend a few days with that issue, back when I first got this laptop... I couldn't remember how I solved it, but I guess the same thing must've happened.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't Fn lock : the "Disable touchpad" and "Launch media" keys don't exist on my keyboard, with or without Fn pressed.
