man -t or groff -mandoc outputs warnings can't find font `IB` / `RB`

When using groff with the -mandoc flag, it outputs warnings

$ gunzip -c $page | groff -Tps -mandoc -c > pacman.ps         # equivalent to man -t pacman
<standard input>:242: warning: can't find font `IB'
<standard input>:242: warning: can't find font `RB'

I wonder what these mean and how to fix it?
