Wifi 1200 AC Dongle with Realtek... didn't get it to work

Hello,

currently i'd try to get my new wifi dongle to work. The drivers for linux on the device seem to be outdated since they have several conditions for older kernel and gcc flags which i unsuccessfully try to modify. lsusb told me, that the device is an "ID 0bda:b812 Realtek Semiconductor Corp." and it looks like that there is already an aur package for the same chip.
I'd successfully installed this package, but it isn't detected as network device at all. Did i miss anything?

Which devices or chipset are currently supported?

I've send the dongle back, since i've didn't manage to complete the driver. This should be done by some people with more experience on c/c++. I'm now using the Edimax  AC 600 with 8812au (which is supported by default).
