[SOLVED] Enlightenment - cant start wayland

Hey everyone,

Everything is compiled based on here and here

enlightenment_start doesnt work, it does work as root so it seems to be a permission error
my user is in the groups input and video if that matters

Why?  Why not use the packages in the repos?  Do the packages in the repos work?

Have you installed all the relevant dependencies?

The packages in the repository are outdated, anyways the packages in the rep have the same problem and they are missing 2 flags (for hardware acceleration).
enlightenment in wayland mode runs fine as root just not as a user, so im pretty sure the problem is not in the builds

Really?  There are no bug reports on this, and that is a pretty crippling bug.  May it be that it's actually something else on your system?  I don't know how many enlightenment users there are here, but if the package were entirely broken and unable to even start, I'm sure there'd be more noise about it.

I had hidepid=2 on /proc which breaks wayland apperently. Problem solved!
