ext4 + metadata checksum + dm-crypt

Hi,
does anybody have experience of setting up a dm-crypted ext4 partition, with the additional metadata checksum option? Are there serious downgrades in performance? I assume to use a CPU supporting SSE 4.2 and the crc32c_intel module.
