[SOLVED] heimdall: official repo --> AUR

I saw that heimdall package was removed from official repo, and now only resides in AUR.

My question is in general: reason for a package to leave, what is the trigger, who decides it, is this step reported somewhere, memorial list for vanished packages ?

And in detail, why was heimdall kicked out?

I have no problem with this, I only want to learn and understand the background.

Thanks very much!

See https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermail/a … 29052.html

Basically, nobody wanted to pick up and maintain it in the official repos, so it was dropped so that someone could maintain it in the AUR.
