Magic Mouse scrolls on click

I have installed gnome-shell on my macbook and I am trying to use the magic mouse now. Pairing was super easy using the bluetooth settings from gnome, and the mouse was immediately working. However, the magic mouse scrolled too slow, so I did what is described in the wiki. The scroll speed is fine now, but it feels like there is some kind of threshold missing. So when I e.g. try to click on a link in a browser, it will also scroll, although it was not my intention. I never had these problems on mac osx, so I think it should be fixable by some settings. Is there maybe something like a scroll_threshold that can be set? So that small movements do not scroll immediately?

I am running through the problem of not being able to scroll, while clicking is fine.

What is the output of your `systool -avm hid_magicmouse` ?
Are you using the magic mouse 1 or 2? (I'm not sure if there's a difference)

Edit: I tried using my magic mouse 1, and I actually am able to scroll on it! So, I guess that my post is irrelevant for your case.

I had the

scroll_speed

set to 60, and reduced it now to 55. The problem is still persistent, but not as bad as it used to be.

The default is 32. Does it happen w/ that value?
What if you enable "scroll_acceleration=1" instead?

No, with the default value it does not happen, at least not that easily... And I already have scroll_acceleration enabled, but with a lower value it is still to slow IMO.

I'd suggest to speed up scrolling in the client(s)
The value likely sets the resolution of the integrated touch area, so even minor motions will cause a scroll event.
The only other way would be a deadzone, which is however not available it seems. And, depending on how large the touch zone is, probably not a good idea either...
