Hi All,
I was having a problem getting scribes to open a ruby script, which I had posted earlier.

I contacted the author of scribes and he indicated that this was a scribes issue that was fixed in version 0.2.5. I checked the version that was installed
[root@delos ~]# pacman -Q | grep scribes
scribes 0.2.5-1
which was not what I expected, since I was having troubles. So, I check the version on the command line
[root@delos ~]# scribes -v
Scribes version 0.2.4
which has an issue (bug) with gnome mime types for executable scripts. I checked to make sure that the executable was not from some locally installed version.
[root@delos ~]# which scribes
/usr/bin/scribes
[root@delos ~]# pacman -Qo /usr/bin/scribes
/usr/bin/scribes is owned by scribes 0.2.5-1
I also re-installed with the same result.
[root@delos ~]# pacman -R scribes
removing scribes... done.
[root@delos ~]# pacman -S scribesTargets: scribes-0.2.5-1

[root@delos ~]# scribes -v

Is there someway that I could have messed up and still have the older scribes?

Ok, scribes is in community and I checked the URL for the source. It is
and when I download it the version I get is scribes-0.2.4.tar.gz -- this is odd. The URL on the scribes web page is
I am guessing that the URL needs updating. I'll email the maintainer.
