[SOLVED] Black screen and no audio (Misbehaving Nvidia drivers?)

Greetings!
I am running Arch Linux with the latest Nvidia drivers, X and the Cinnamon DE. Whenever I try to launch a game (Or anything with 3d rendering) it runs fine for a few minutes. After that, the screen blacks out and the sound stops. When I try to reboot, the problem persists. I can only get rid of this problem by unplugging the computer and plugging it back in. I tried to find a solution on the internet, but no luck. I honestly am a beginner-ish Arch user and can't figure out what is wrong. I recently switched from Gnome to Cinnamon, and I didn't have any problems with Gnome, so I think the problem might be with Cinnamon but I am not sure. I'd normally post the log files here, but I don't know which ones would be helpful. I'd truly appreciate any help.

Next time it happens when you power off the computer don't power it back on for a while.  If it starts up right away again, not a persistent problem as you said when you try to start it back up, then it could be overheating where if you let it sit it goes back to normal temperature and if you immediately try to start it up again it's still hot.

Nope, it has cooled off quite well but I still am having the issue.

Okay, well that was my suggestion.  Hopefully someone else can assist further.

Wow... You were right. Thanks. It was overheating for a reason.
