I installed it using "makepkg -sri". Installation seemed to be successful. When it was completing installation, it said:
==> tor-browser will be extracted to ~/.tor-browser
==> the first time you run tor-browser as your normal user!
==> Just start it and have fun.
I don't exactly understand what that means. There is no .tor-browser directory in my home directory.
The only thing I see that is executable is tor-browser.sh (in the expanded AUR package directory). If I run that, it completes immediately (no output messages) and it seems that nothing happens. There is still no .tor-browser directory in my home directory.
I previously had versions 6.0.8 and 6.5.1 installed. They both ran successfully, but the browsers that came up told me they should be updated. I deleted both of them to try to eliminate confusion.

Also, according to pacman, the package is installed:
local/tor-browser-en-us 7.5-1

Never mind, sorry. I uninstalled the package and downloaded the .xz file directly from Tor. It works, perfectly.
